    Description

    STUNNING / ANTIQUE / VERY HEAVY SET WINGED GODDESS CAST IRON MASCOT / ORNAMENT.
    A most interesting item !!    Extensive research failed to find any information on the item. It looks Neoclassical Victorian though. The only clue is the very faint outline of words on the sloping portion of the base, more than likely a foundry mark. They read from top to bottom as follows.  Top  ? LD T   Bottom  OiT  To the base is a screw hole with threads. Very heavy set for its size 577 grams & measures 12cms long x 6cms wide base x 5.5cms high.
