A synopsis:
The book is a solid review of Japanese warships carrying planes (dreadnougths and cruisers excluded) and support ships in the years 1920-2010.  The author described the fleet's well known aircraft and escort carriers but also plane transporters and
miscellaneous
ships. A separate chapter has descriptions of modern aircraft ships
commissioned
after 1967 (a few types of destroyers, amphibious assault ships, and small aircraft carriers). In the final part of the book the author has described the combat operations of the Japanese aircraft ships during WW2. The text is accompanied by nearly 130 photos, 67 drawings of the ships (mostly from two perspectives), and 21 maps and sketches of battles.
