    Description

This is a vintage 1940-50's poker chip carousel, in excellent condition. No repairs.  My father passed away at 99+ several years ago.  This was his, but only lightly used. Not much of a poker player, more of a bridge player.
The carry handles appear to be brass - heavy metal, brass color, non-magnetic.  The center dial turns to open and close the chip stacks as shown in the photos.  Color is marbled green/white.
It comes with 2 decks of poker-size cards (Bee and Bicycle, blue) a full array of plastic chips of matching style (red chip shown in the photos):
    6 stacks of white - 168 chips
3 stacks minus 1 chip of red - 83 chips
    2 stacks of blue - 56 chips
1 stack of 50/50 blue and white, 14 chips of each color
In addition, there are additional chips of non-matching style or color, or both:
    23 yellow
    20 blue
    9 red
    1 white
While these carousels are usually listed as bakelite, and I originally listed this one the same based on identical items listed by others, I don't think they are.  An astute viewer pointed out that there are tests for bakelite.  I tried the Simichrome and Formual 409 tests, and they showed negative.
