Vintage Mini Brass Mortar and Pestle Apothecary Herbs Spices Personal Grinding
This is a beautiful pattern of old mortar and pestle. It was used for personal grinding of medicine, herbs or spices.
This type of mortars is rare with 5 “ears” around the waist of the mortar.
There are few patina spots in some areas.
Please note that most mortars come in two pieces; base and "bowl" parts, afterwards are joined together using a screw from the same material (brass).
But this mortar was made from one solid piece of brass
. There is no joint point between the base and the bowl.
