Vintage Heavy Brass Apothecary 4 Mortar & 1 Pestle

Description

These are vintage very heavy brass 4 mortars with 1 pestle for apothecary (medicine, herbs) use back then. The smaller 3 mortars have impressed letters, words and characters around them and the biggest mortar is plain. The biggest mortar measures approximately 7 1/4 inches tall and 7 1/4 inches in diameter on the top opening, it has a hole at the bottom but does not go all the way inside. Next size mortar measures approximately 5 1/4 inches tall and 5 1/4 inches in diameter on the top opening. Next size mortar measures approximately 4 1/2 inches tall and 4 3/4 inches in diameter on the top opening. Last mortar measures approximately 4 1/4 inches tall and 4 1/4 inches in diameter on the top opening. Pestle measures approximately 11 inches long. Item needs deep cleaning but overall in good condition. These are interesting mortars with interesting designs. I am limited with pictures and can send more on request.
