Description:
Very desirable and rather rare copper-tin-zinc alloy 1868 two-cent piece. These coins were struck for a short period it was authorized in 1864 and was discontinued in 1873. The 1868 has a mintage of 2 mm compared to over 10mm for earlier years. The coin itself is better than the scan shows and has very fine details which can be seen in the photo. These coins were designed by James Longacre.

Condition:
I would grade this coin as a very good to fine or better. The coin has scratches and bag marks commensurate with its age. It also has one or two rim nicks, which can be seen in the photo. The coin would make a great addition to your collection. A definite quality coin.
