TINY 2 INCH TALL SOLID BRASS VINTAGE DANISH MORTAR
NO PESTLE
In excellent vintage condition.
This vintage apothecary mortar was imported from Denmark by my parents.
They collected mortar and pestles. It has been in our family since AT LEAST 1985,
so conservatively, it is at least 30 years old, probably more.
This well constructed, heavy brass mortar has an aged finish as it has not
been cleaned
in 30 years!
This Danish brass is heavier and a higher
quality
than the thin,
cheap brass from places like India, Pakistan or Mexico.
Imperfect finish on mortar from aging.
Please note the small scratches,
crevices and pitted surfaces.
Patina spots also evident throughout, will lighten or disappear if polished.
APPROXIMATE MEASUREMENTS:
The mortar weighs 5.4 ounces (not including packing)
and is just under 2" tall.
The mortar measures 2" across the top and measures 2.25" across
measuring side to side, from handle to handle
The base of the mortar measures 1 3/8" across,
