    Description

    Four pairs of small heavy brass apothecary mortars and pestles. Unmarked.
    All are slightly different, and likely were salesman samples rather than actual pharmaceutical mixers.  Made in early to mid 20th C. (Could be older).
    Solidly forged and designed to demonstrate different sizes, different engraved patterns, different handles.
    Yet, they are similar enough to show nicely as a collection. (See photos.)
    Dimensions:  Tallest mortar is 3" and down to 1.5"  Pestles for each one are longer the corresponding mortar.
    All in excellent vintage condition.
