Item # 37771
A rugged drum shaped antique solid brass farmhouse mortar bowl with two handles was used by an apothecary in a drug store about 1900. Very heavy weight and rugged, this well worn antique was used to compound and grind medicine. There is delicate hand engraving, see photos.
Size is 6" wide, 5 1/2" deep and 5 1/2" tall.
