    Description

    I purchased this in Texas from the estate of a lifelong Pharmacist and collector of antique Mortars. More information is available on the previous owner and collector.  Information from the internet seems to place this Bronze Mortar and Pestle from the 11th -15th century. Its origin seems to be Spain with a Gothic influence in it's design. The dimensions are as follows and are approximates. Mortar Height = 3-5/8", Width outside of handles = 6-3/4", width outside of bowl = 4-3/8".  Pestle length = 8-1/8", Diameter of large end = 1-1/2", Small end = 1-1/8".  Weight = 10.2 lbs on a home scale. It looks to be in untouched, original condition with No polishing or enhancements.  Thank you for your interest
