    Description

    Antique large porcelain mortar and pestle. Good size and in great condition. Mortar is without cracks or chips. Very heavy weight. The wood handle on the pestle is without cracks. There is some crazing to the tip. ( shown) some discoloration- but a good cleaning should help. It has wording on the bottom along with an anchor and serpent. It does say Trenton NJ and warranted acid proof. I can’t read the rest. My eyes aren’t what they used to be- even with glasses( serves me right - when my mom would ask me to thread a needle for her and I didn’t understand why she couldn’t see to do it) everything starts to go when you get older. Lol. Mortar measures 7” wide across the top x 4” tall. Pestle measures 9” long. Weighs 5 pounds.
