Antique Heavy BRASS APOTHECARY MORTAR AND PESTLE

THIS IS AN ANTIQUE FINE HEAVY BRASS APOTHECARY MORTAR AND PESTLE WITH DOUBLE SQUARE BRASS HANDLES. The item has wear commensurate with age and usage, patina, oxidation, spotting, some scuff marks and a tiny chip on the rim (shown in pictures) The Mortar stands 5 1/8” tall and has a 5 1/2” diameter on the top and a 3 1/2” on the bottom. The Mortar alone weighs 6 lbs 14.4 oz. The Pestle is 9 1/4” in length. The ends are 1 3/4” and 1 1/2” diameters respectively. A great piece. Please look carefully at the photos.
