Antique Hardwood Mortar & Pestle, Beautiful Patina, 3.25-lbs, 12” High.
Condition: Antique is well worn through use. Beautiful patina. Hardwood; probably walnut. Hand-carved and turned. Slight shrinkage crack in mortar; vessel does not leak.

Estate sale purchase. Part of a large collection of apothecary items. Unique hardwood is well worn. Heavy for its size at 3.25-pounds. Hardwood is probably Walnut or Hard Maple. For a light cleaning I used diluted boiled linseed oil. Possibly British or German, but no marks.
