    Description

    This classical form early 19th century cast and engine turned brass mortar and pestle has nice size and pleasing proportions with turned line decoration and sturdy foot.  Measuring 5" x 5" (top rim) with 3 7/8" diameter foot, the pestle is 7 7/8" x 1 1/2" and shows lots of dents as shown in close-up.  It has some tarnish and verdigris and is free of cracks, chips and repairs.
