Antique Apothecary Mortar & Pestle. 5" Tall. Copper Colored Metal on Wood.

Description

Solid dark wood base. Appears to have been assembled with a screw to attach the metal mortor to the base. Polished natural copper finish. Pestle is metal as well with the same copper finish. Both are in excellent condition for their age from being maintained among a collection of antique mortar & pestles free of any defect. Exact age has not been determined. Estimated 1960's. Mortar measures 2 1/2" high x almost 2 1/2" at the brim. Wood base measures 4 1/4" square. Pestle measures 3" long. One previous owner, an apothecary and collector of antique apothecary items.
