Great early America Pestle & Mortar. This could be as early as 1700's, but most likely early to mid 1800's. Has a rough forged look & old gold paint for the perfect display piece. It really just has "that look", that sets it apart.  The footed bottom is cupped. The top of the mortar is slightly larger than bottom stand giving it an inverted bell shape.
Please review multiple pictures taken for your consideration. It is in good shape for the age, but has two small holes from original cast forging adding to appeal I think. And, one hairline crack that I only noticed when taking close ups, but it has no impact on appeal of item.
