19th century French cast iron pharmacy mortar 11½"
A large and weighty mortar from the late eighteenth / early nineteenth century. Made from cast iron it was most probably used by a pharmacist. Great condition and a beautiful patina. This could make a lovely cachepot. Very heavy.
Condition and patina consistent with age.
