An 1871 better date two cent piece graded MS 64 BN by PCGS. It carries an exceptional strike with fully brown surfaces throughout the obverse and reverse. A tougher date to find lately in this grade level that is very sharply struck.
This date holds a total mintage of 721,250 making it a slightly better date to the series. The PCGS Coin Facts estimates that only 3,000 have survived in all grades today. It is one of only 75 graded Mint State 64 Brown by PCGS.
