    Description

    For sale is a very nice 1864 Two Cent Piece. The Two Cent Piece was minted 1864 - 1873. Many people didn't even know that there was such a thing as Two Cent Pieces. That is because they were a pretty short-lived coin only being minted for less than 9 years. This was the very first US coin to also feature the phrase "In God We Trust." Because they are so scarce Two Cent Pieces are valuable coins even in lower grades.
    As you can see from the pics the coin is in great shape, and is a very decent F grade, which is considered high for a Two Cent Piece. The date and images are present and bold on both sides. The motto on the obverse, and the word "WE" which wears off on these coins quickly even on high grade coins, is present. All lettering and images are very sharp, including all of the fine lines on the shield on the obverse. The coin has some environmental exposure to it, especially to the reverse, and the price of the coin was reduced to reflect that.
    You don't see a lot of Two Cent Pieces out there so this would be great addition to any rare coin collection. Thanks!
