12" Long Antique Unusual Wood OCTAGONAL PESTLEYou are looking at a
12" Long Antique Unusual Wood OCTAGONAL PESTLE.
It has a hairline crack (see photo).
Measures 12" long by 2" diameter.
It is 8-sided on the shaft.
This piece came from Iowa.
It belonged to my great aunt.
A fellow eBayer said this is a VERY RARE PIECE!!!
It is the pestle that goes to the Guardian Service Cookware ((1936-1958)) Sieve Ricer Strainer. The West Bend company made these for Guardian and they were made in the octagon shape to be easily identified as a Guardian pestle.
