12.25" Extra Large antique mortar and Pestle Thomas Maddock & Sons Apothecary

Description

Antique T. M. & S. acid proof mortar & pestle all original and marked from Thomas Maddock's Sons Company. The company was founded in 1873 as Millington, Astbury & Maddock. It then became Thomas Maddock & Sons in 1882. Finally it was renamed Thomas Maddock's Sons Co. in 1903 and sold out in 1929. This set is dated somewhere in the early 1900's.
The Mortar is spouted and weighs about 18 Pounds.  It is HUGE
Width is 12.25" (including spout) and 11.75" (when you don't measure with spout edge)
The Height is just under 6.5"
There are some various marks on the mortar.  But I don't see or feel any chips.  I especially felt around spout and edges and I don't feel any
imperfections.  There are NO hairline cracks in the mortar
The Pestle is 11" long.  Fattest part of pestle is 2 5/8" wide
The pestle has some hairline cracks.  And there is some separation between wood and stoneware as you can see if photos.  There is some movement between the wood and stoneware, but it is solid and will function well for years (probably generations).  I don't see any divets or chips in the pestle
